This Friday’s follow suggestion from THG goes along with being thankful that September is Missouri Wine Month. We highly suggest everyone follow KC Wineworks-Wine as Vibrant as The Crossroads; A Grape-to-Glass winery. KC Wineworks is the first full scale production winery to establish in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City. It was founded in January of 2014 and many have followed in their footsteps. They feature only Missouri sourced grapes, and they work to produce a drier style of Midwest varietals. Missouri grapes are typically known for being on the sweeter side. Their handcrafted, award wining wines are available in their tasting room located in The Crossroads, as well as select local restaurants and wine shops.
They have a quirky and relaxing atmosphere that invites you to stop by for a quick drink or hang out and relax on a Friday night. You can stop by their tasting room for a flight of wines you have never tried, they also have Christopher Elbow chocolate pairings. Or if you already know your favorite Missouri wine you can pick a spot to cozy up and enjoy a glass. During the summer time they make amazing wine slushies that you will have dreams about. On First Fridays KC Wineworks is a great hang out, just last month in August they released a canned Sangria, Show Me Sangria, and it is out of this world. KC Wineworks has space at the bar for walk ins of smaller groups of 5 of fewer. They do require reservations for 6 or more, they reserve a private table for you and a dedicated Tasting Room staff member to personally guide your tasting flight
Their harvest will be in full swing this month so make sure you follow KC Wineworks to get updates on the fun events, new releases and comebacks of favorite wines. #KCWineworks#DrinkMOWine #SipLocal
