Tradition Home Group’s follow Friday suggestion is the KCPD CARE Team. This organization does tremendous work for family members of the Kansas City Police Department in times of need. The KCPD CARE Team is a non-profit 501c3 organization comprised of both sworn and non-sworn members of the KC Police Department. The CARE Team raises money for their department members and retirees who need assistance due to an injury, death, illness, or other unforeseen emergencies. There are absolutely zero administrative costs associated with the CARE Team – 100% of the funds raised go back to helping their members.
Each year their primary fundraiser is their annual golf tournament. The 19th annual tournament will be held at the Shoal Creek Golf Course on May 6, 2019. The CARE Team is always looking for sponsors, as well as donations to use for door prizes, raffle items, and auction items. You still have time to show your support and enjoy a few rounds of golf.
They are hosting their 5th Annual Care Team Holiday Mart tomorrow November 17th from 10am to 4pm at the KCPD Regional Police Academy. They have fantastic vendors all in one place to make your holiday shopping nice and easy. The proceeds for the booths go to support the KCPD CARE Team.
If you or someone you know would like to donate or for more information on how to become a sponsor contact Pam @ 816-437-6227 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
KCPD CARE Team Mission Statement – The mission of the Kansas City Police CARE Team is to provide non-judgmental caring to active and retired department members, their families, and friends in times of personal, family, and career crises.
