    THG Tip Tuesday

Tradition Home Group’s Tuesday Tip is; exercise your right to vote. It is Election Day today and only about 40% of registered voters will vote in this Midterm Election. The organization Rock The Vote does a wonderful job in educating voters on how to use their voice and vote in the elections. And providing the public with the resources and tools about how to get registered and vote. The ability to exercise your right to vote does vary by state, Rock The Vote ranked stated based on the laws and policies that impact our generation’s voting rights, and Missouri is labeled as a Blocker. Missouri does not offer the opportunity to register to vote on Election Day, you must register ahead of time. In Missouri you can register to vote by mail and in person, submit a completed Missouri Voter Registration Application to your local county clerk. Once they process your application you receive a confirmation in 7 days. Missouri is also labeled a Blocker because they do not offer online voter registration and you cannot vote-by-mail or send in a absentee ballot. Some states will automatically register eligible citizens to vote when they go to a government agency like the DMV, Missouri does not have that option. Everyone should have to opportunity to make themselves heard. Tradition Home Group hopes you use your right to vote today to contribute to to the advancement of our society.
