I have walked in to work wearing sandals and walked out to snow on the ground. This year we seemed to have had a long summer with toasty warm days going into October. And then November rolled in and brought with it chilly temperatures and some flurries. It officially feels like winter time. The trees have changed from vibrant green to their glorious fall colors and now they are ready to hibernate for the winter. Bring on the hot cocoa.
What are some of your favorite things to enjoy during the winter months? Do you love the snow? Are trips to Snow Creek how you fill your winter weekends? Do you love going to Arrowhead to cheer on your Chiefs? Or do you enjoy staying warm and cozy in one of the many local restaurants? Does your family always plan to go to the Country Club Plaza on Thanksgiving night to watch the magnificent holiday lights turn on for the season? Or maybe you enjoy the horse drawn carriage rides on The Plaza during the winter. Is the highlight of your winter is seeing The Nutcracker performed by the Kansas City Ballet at The Kauffman Center for Performing Arts?
There are so many fun and amazing things to do around Kansas City all year round. Just because it is cold outside doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy our beautiful city. We wanna know. What are your favorite things to do in the winter?
